Course Overview

Operate Forklift Course (with Class 3) equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to safely operate a forklift. This mandatory training ensures compliance with safety regulations.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped to:

Identify, explain, and apply the relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations / Singapore Standards SS573 (Approved Code of Practice 101 formerly) applicable to Forklift operation
Identify and explain the various roles of each stakeholder, and their responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all.
Carry out forklift operator’s pre-operational preparation duty in accordance with WSH regulations, SS 573 industrial standard and organizational SOP
Perform inspection of forklift and its major components prior to commencement of work
Carry out forklift operations
Reinstate and hand over the forklift at the end of duty

Prerequisites:

Before beginning this course, it’s essential to have the following:

Learners must possess a valid class 3 driving license issued by the Singapore LTA or Malaysia government (for Malaysians).
Learners must be physically fit and in good health, not subject to deafness, defective sight, or other infirmity that would render them unfit to perform forklift operations safely.
Learners must be above 18 years of age
Learners are assumed to be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS).
Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 and above or equivalent Learners are assumed to be able to interpret work instructions and technical information.
Learners are assumed to be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 3.
Learners are assumed to be able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 3.
