CERT First Aider Course

Course Overview

The CERT First Aider course equips CERT personnel with the skills to provide first aid treatment to casualties during workplace emergencies or accidents.

Prerequisites

Learners are assumed to:

  • Trainees must have Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace literacy and numeracy at level 5 or above, or an equivalent. They should be physically fit, in good health, and free from conditions such as eyesight or hearing problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, vertigo, balance issues, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, psychiatric illness, or similar conditions.

Participants must have 100% attendance to be eligible for the examination.

Starting from 1st January 2022, SRFAC requires all learners/trainees to be fully vaccinated, medically certified as ineligible for COVID-19 vaccines, or have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 180 days to attend onsite training. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals will not be permitted for onsite training.

Learning Units

  • CPR and AED
  • Introduction to First Aid
  • Management of sprains, dislocations, cuts, fractures, and burns
  • Improvised carrying technique

Additional Details:

This course targets individuals interested in first aid or assigned as CERT. Participants must be physically fit and capable of providing assistance during emergencies. Learners must be 18 years old or older.
