Heavy Forklift Course

Course Overview

This course enables an individual who have valid WSQ forklift license to upgrade skills and knowledge to operate heavy forklift (more than 5 tonnes forklift) in the industry.

Prerequisites:

Before beginning this course, it’s essential to have the following:

  • Learners must have completed Operate Forklift course (less than equal to 5 tonnes)
  • Learners must have at least 1 year of Forklift Driving experience.
  • The learners must produce the work experience letter and the copy of the Forklift license.
  • Learner’s Profile: Learners must be able to interpret work instructions and technical information. Learners must be able to listen, speak, read and write English, and be able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3, or PSLE qualification.

Certifications Granted:

AKC will issue the course card upon successful course completion. Card validity: Valid for lifetime. The learners are recommended to attend the refresher training on the operation of forklifts every 3 years.

Additional Details:

Course Duration: 16.5 Hours (including 1 hour assessment). Day 1 – 0830 to 1800 Hrs., Day 2 – 0830 to 1730 Hrs.
Assessment Format & duration: Practical Assessment: 30 mins per participant, Written Assessment (25 MCQ): 30 mins.
